Strict Nut-Free Policy
To ensure the safety of all children in our care, particularly those with severe, life-threatening anaphylactic allergies, Ruwad Muscat International School is a strictly Nut-Free Campus. Our catering providers are prohibited from using peanuts, tree nuts, or nut-based oils in any meal preparations. Parents sending home-packed lunches are also required to adhere to this guideline.
Allergen Control & Customizations
We work closely with parents of students with documented food allergies or medical conditions (such as celiac disease or dairy intolerance). If your child requires a customized allergen-free meal plan, please contact the school clinic counselor to submit the medical forms. Our catering partner will prepare and pack these special meals separately to prevent cross-contamination.
Healthy Eating & Nutrition Guidelines
Our menus are strictly formulated following the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Health guidelines. We focus on:
- Zero use of deep-frying methods (all meals are baked or steamed).
- No processed meats (such as hot dogs, nuggets, or canned meats).
- No carbonated drinks, high-sugar packaged juices, or artificial colorings.
- Using whole grains (brown rice, whole wheat pasta) and minimizing added sugar and sodium.
