General Education Diploma (GED)
The General Education Diploma (GED) for Grades 11 and 12 is the national qualification overseen by the Omani Ministry of Education.
This programme, which spans across two years, is a solid academic foundation, and provides students with the knowledge and skills they need to help them attain the Oman General Education Certificate, which enables them to gain admission to the local higher learning institutions or access to the government-sponsored scholarships. The GED programme’s broad curriculum, covers Arabic, Islamic Studies, Mathematics and the Sciences, ensures that students graduate with the base knowledge and culture needed to excel in the professional and academic worlds in the Sultanate and beyond.
