General Education Diploma (GED)
The General Education Diploma (GED) for Grades 11 and 12 is the national qualification overseen by the Omani Ministry of Education.
This two-year programme provides a rigorous academic foundation that prepares students for the Oman General Education Certificate, one of the credentials for students seeking to enter local higher education institutions or government-sponsored scholarship programmes. By focusing on a comprehensive range of subjects—including Arabic, Islamic Studies, Mathematics, and the Sciences—the GED ensures that graduates possess the core knowledge and cultural grounding required to succeed in the Sultanate’s professional and academic landscape and beyond.
For students within our international framework, the Oman GED offers a specialised pathway that balances national curriculum requirements with the critical thinking and analytical skills valued by the Oman Academic Accreditation Authority.
