At Ruwad Muscat, we place a strong emphasis on modesty and appropriateness in our dress code, reflecting the cultural and social context of our community. Our clothing policy ensures that all students present themselves in a manner that promotes respect, unity, and a focused educational environment.
School Clothing
All students are required to wear official school clothing; available for purchase exclusively through the school shop. Items will be available before the start of the next school year.
Discontinuation of Ellesmere Muscat Clothing
Ellesmere clothing is no longer accepted for the 2026/27 school year. Students must not come to school in Ellesmere Muscat clothing.
Official School Clothing
Must be purchased from the school shop. The selection and choice will expand over time.
Head wear
No headwear (caps, hats etc.) other than items purchased at the school shop may be worn. Girls may wear a beige hijab and boys may wear traditional Omani headgear if wearing the distasha.
Footwear
Shoes should be plain and, for safety reasons in practical subjects, must have closed toes. Crocs are not permitted.
Omani Traditional Clothing
Dishdasha
Boys may wear the Dishdasha and Kuma on a regular basis if they choose to do so.
Sports & Formal Clothing
Availability
RMIS sports clothing will be designed in consultation with the student body at the start of the school year and be available to purchase from the start of semester 2.
Requirement
Students are required to wear the appropriate sports clothing for sport related activities both in school and outside of school.
Online Orders
All school clothing can be ordered online via the school app or website. It may also be purchased in person from the school shop.
Collection
If purchased online, orders are to be collected from the school shop upon receiving a confirmation email.
Additional Regulations
Exclusive Purchase
All uniforms must be purchased directly from the school shop to ensure consistency and quality.
Administrative Decisions
The school administration reserves the right to determine what constitutes acceptable clothing. These decisions are final and non-negotiable.
